The TOWA Fall Stampede is TOWA’s informal come out and have fun event! This is where the writers, sponsors, manufacturers, conservation groups, Texas Parks and Wildlife, etc. meet the public. There is an International Barbecue Cookers Assn.(IBCA) BBQ and Wild Game Cook Off, the Texas Challenge shooting competitions, two days of rodeo, “Ride and Drive” with truck manufacturers, and three days of live music. This is a chance for outdoor manufacturers to showcase their wares, an opportunity for conservation groups to solicit the public and writers, and a time for students, writers, photographers, etc. to get dirty while you network with other professionals. The Stampede is getting bigger every year!

- BBQ teams competing for prize dollars in a sanctioned IBCA event
- The 2nd Annual Bohemian Classic Rod’n Reel Catfish Tournament
- The Colorado River is available for boats, kayaks, canoes, aquatic, and angling sports
- 200 acres of woods, creeks, bogs, and river bottom for satisfying “ Ride and Drive” in the latest off-road vehicles.
- The "Texas Challenge" that pits shooting competitors across various disciplines including long range, pistol, sporting clays, and a walk-through archery course.
