Killing the Shepherd

From Tom Opre:

The hunting community has always had it right when it comes to the science behind hunting in the modern age. What we haven’t had right is the message. The antis have used emotion to push their radical agendas. Now we have a film which offers an emotional angle, or better yet a human rights message as to why we hunt.

There’s a BIG disconnect in modern society when it comes to modern wildlife conservation. Our efforts are meant to reconnect modern society with nature. Ultimately, we think those 70-75% in the middle of the consumption debate will get why our current wildlife conservation model is important to the welfare of wildlife and habitat the world-over.

We’re wrapping up a limited theatrical release in theaters Oct/Nov. The film will have an exclusive digital cinema release starting Nov 27 through Jan 15. Tickets to the film will be available via www.killingtheshepherd.com. After this period it will roll out on DVD/Blue Ray, digital rentals & streaming on various platforms throughout 2022.

We’ve also cut a 30 minute version for education and group events. We’re in discussions with multiple non-profits to include the film in existing education programs. Our first group screening has been booked with the Congressional Sportsman’s Foundation at their annual state legislator event in Little Rock, AR in December.

If you could write a review and/or story in any publication (and social media) about the film it would really help our cause. I, plus Roland Norton, who’s featured in the film, can make ourselves available for interviews.
